Hey guys I just went to Batch 11's blog and there's this cool Wordle thing! So I painstakingly copied every post into Wordle.com to generate this:

HAHAHAHA IN BETWEEN BAND YOU CAN SEE PERCUSSION (<3), RACHEL AND THURSDAY! And all over are random stuff like EYAs, something, Xin, Hui, oh, YES, etc. and you should just look at every single word it's quite cute!
Yup OK gotta go now, enjoy the image! Good night! :)

Hey batch! <3
True, true, that some of our posts are a bit irrelevant and lame, but I oppose to deleting them! They should be left as they are, untouched, as memories. So that when we look back we'll realize how much we've grown, righto?
Anyway, speaking of growing, I think our batch has improved tremendously in the past year. But there is still room for improvement! A lot of room for improvement! So much room that you can fit the whole band in and there'll still be space!
OK, so that was weird. But anyway. What Yi An posted was very true - why is it always the same people coming down for batch bonding in the morning? I mean, we really gotta start building our batch spirit, since one year has already passed. Next year, when we change classes, your classmates will be gone, and we'll be the only people you have left. So please, do make an effort to come down at least once in a while to just have a nice talk or something! You can't be rushing homework everyday right! And you can also do homework in the batch corr too - in fact, you'll get a lot of homework help!
More importantly, attendance-taking! I know this may sound really minor to some of you, but have you realized that saying YES low and loud is a tradition that has been passed on for many batches? Yeah, I see guilty looks already. The Secondary Ones have come in already, and we can't afford to set a bad example. Especially not now, when SYF is next year and they'll be playing too. We need to show them what standard our band has, and that they must meet that standard. And we can start by just saying our YES low and loud! Of course that's not all, but it's setting a good example. Which is uber important, in case you haven't realized we're seniors already.
Most importantly, indiving. I know we've improved a lot, but it's not enough! We really need to push even harder, now that the NTU band concert is less than 10 days away. Give not only your best, but 110% of it! We've spent so much time on Perseus - let's do this together, and do it well. I'm sure we don't want to let our seniors down, let our directs down, let RGSSB down nor let Mr. Oura down! It's such a beautiful song, and we must do justice do it. So please please please just practice really hard so that we can show our stuff to Mr. Yagisawa OK! Please please please stop slacking off during indiv time, no matter how tempting it is. Please please please have integrity and clock only hours you've been working hard for. And although only 4 hours are required, do indiv at home too OK! Or just clock more hours - it won't hurt. We really really need to start pushing ourselves hard, and I don't know how to inspire you, but I hope this post will help motiviate you. But only you can find determination to practice frequently!
I think Sheryl's e-mail will work a lot better. Read it and memorize it or something, as long as you get that push. I don't know about you guys, but Cadenza XII is really very important to me. In our journey through band, we're lucky enough to get TWO Cadenzas. I think it's so much more fun preparing so many songs for Cadenza, but it's also a lot more difficult than just one song for SYF. Unlike SYF, we're not going to get judged, but I'm sure we won't feel good if we play badly and let ourselves down either.
And yeah, I bet some of you don't even check the batch blog or read our e-mails. Which is frustrating and very AAAHHHH. But for those of you who do, here is what I have to say (actually a lot more but it's already quite lengthy) and I do hope you'll read it and really think about it. And you're very welcome to post more inspiring posts OK!

Hey Batch'12 <3
It's my first post here(: Hmm okay i guess i came here to ask for your opinion in some stuff and say something?
Firstly, would it be okay if we remove some posts that are rather irrelevant to the batch and band in general? I know it might be your attempt to revive the blog but I guess it isnt directly related to your batch/band so it shouldnt be here? (considering that we have juniors now and the other batch blogs are so formal and everything) We should set a better example? Do tell me if you have strong objections towards removing the posts or else i'll get the creator of this blog(xinhui?) to remove them?

Secondly, as we all know the NTU band concert is in 10 days--which seriously isn't very far away so let's all work very hard! We must make our indiv this week fulfilling and effective. (on a side note, please do not slack during indiv. i know some people just want to clock 4 hours and get over with it but please really spend these 4 hours practicing and not resting/slacking) It wont help if you're spending four hours at the batchcorr but not doing anything useful (i.e working out some difficult parts) so please make full use of these 4 hours. I may not be the best person to tell you all how we really need to improve alot before our practice with Mr Yagisawa and the actual concert itself but we really dont want to embarrass ourselves during our practice with him or the concert. With reference to Sheryl YN's email, we really have to make sure this concert isn't like a total fail or anything cause its really really very important. It affects Cadenza XII ticket sales very directly. Cadenza XII is also the next thing we really need to work hard for after the NTU band concert. It most probably will be the first ever concert for many of you so I'm sure we wont want to screw it up right? It will also be the last concert with our directs and it just wont be right if we dont work hard for it and make it a success. We do want to have a memorable experience. I believe band means alot to many of us--those who I have briefly talked to and we'll be spending all 4 years of our secondary school life in it so why don't we make the best out of it? As quoted from one of my inunion letters, "input is directly proportionate to output" so if we put in the effort to improve, we'll definitely see the improvement after time. You'll realise that the outcome of the concerts will be very pleasant if we're willing to put in effort and we should have the determination and courage to "fight on" even after we have failed. We might not be able to successfully play one part properly but if hardwork is put in we'll succeed one day. Also, dont be afraid to ask for help from seniors. I'm sure they're more than willing to help. Please do try to come down to the batchcorr in the mornings for batch bonding too-- its a good time to finish some homework and bond.
Sorry if this posts sounds too serious or repetitive etc. but we really need to work hard! We don't have much time left before NTU Band Concert or Cadenza XII(which is in 51 days) so let's work hard together as a batch(: GO BATCH'12! :D
oh yes, please be reminded also that we're not allowed to indiv in the band room--only the top batch and percs are allowed to so indiv at the batch corr or somewhere else okay(: i also didnt know until my direct told me yesterday:/
On another note, please try your utmost best to go lower and louder during attendance taking. It wont make sense if the Sec 1s are told to go lower and louder but we're still very soft and high. We need to be good role models too. Do also try to check our batch blog and your emails for regular updates.
On another note, hope y'all are having fun at LJs!
All the best for indiv!
Love,
Perina
